Deviance/Breaking the LAW?

In the USA we have the largest prison population in the world. There is a disporportionally large number of people from urban minorities. People from urban minorities are also over-represented in the criminal system as victims. Some people claim that there is a criminal culture in the poorer urban communities. What are other possible explanations? How might the culture of the inner city contribute to the crime rate of that population?

  1. Many factors are causing criminal culture, in the poorer urban communities. Those criminals don't have family stucture. Therefore,it's hard for them to follow the rules. They end up selling drugs, become thieves, and rapists ect. Because they don't have any skills;so they can't get a job. Also they bored, they look the other way. On the other hand, well off people can become criminals too if they hang out with deviant behavior people .Inner city criminal need to go to counseling,or whatever help that is available;in order to keep their mind occupy. This way they can become productive member of society.I'm sure when they become aware of their situation, the Urban communities would be a better place.
